Trichomoniasis, generally referred to as "trich", is a typical cause of vaginitis. It is a sexually transmitted illness, and is brought on by the only-celled protozoan parasite Trichomonas vaginalis producing mechanical stress on host cells after which ingesting cell fragments after cell death.
